Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE): Causes, Symptoms & Home Remedies
Systematic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE or commonly known as Lupus is an autoimmune disease which is mainly caused due to the attack of the immune system against own body cells.p In this condition, the immune system starts acting against own body cells rather than defending them from foreign invaders. In this condition, the immune proteins which are known as autoantibodies attack various parts of the body which results in inflammation and damage to the tissues. These body parts include skin, kidney, joints, heart, eyes, digestive system and the nervous system. Sometimes anomalous molecules known as immune complexes are also formed in this condition due to attachment of the autoantibodies to the chemicals of the body.p
Causes of Lupus
Some of the chief reasons for the occurrence of Lupus include the family history of the disease, environmental factors, and reaction of certain drugs.

Ayurvedic perspective about SLE
Ayurveda considers SLE to be a chronic disease which has an adverse effect on the joints, muscles, and immunity of the body. Even tissues also undergo deterioration. Consequently, the immunity of the body reduces and even becomes equal to zero. As a result, the body is not able to fight against the diseases which make them spread to different parts of the body. Ayurveda mainly aims at restoration of the immunity of the body and makes it able to fight against the diseases.
